vember 1805, whereby all Peitions were required to
be delivered into the Presidents Office, within a
certain period previous to their sittings. NOW
ORDER, and require, all persons who have Petitions
to present to the Covrt ol Policy, Criminal, or Civil
Justice, fo render in the ame to his Excellency the
Covernor, as President. 48 hours previous to the sit-
tine of that Court to which sueh Petition is addres-
ged; as otherwise Petinions will not be Noticcd, ¢x-

Accustomed to the hardships of the tented field, decline
using the magnificent beds prepared for them. The for-
mer sleeps upon astraw paillasse. The King of Prussia
ordered all the fine satine-wood furniture to be re:noved
ont of his bed-room, and a plain table and glass, with onc
common chair, to be substituted. When the bed was re-
moved, his Majesty's camp-equipaze was brought in, from
whence were taken a leather mattress and bolster: these,
were placed upon a cominon couch,
By his Majesty’s sloop Venus, whichis arrived at Hull,
we learn, that the Coronation of Prince Christian, as
King of Norway, took place on the 3d inst. and that
there had been great rejvicings in consequence. This in-
formation was obtained by the Venus from a vessel sh.
detained coming from Norway. The Norwegians were
acting with the more boldness, having obtained large sup-
plies of provisions.
A Royal Ordinance has been published in all the sca-
ports of France, importing, that during the continuance
of the war between Great Britain and the United States
of America, no vessel shall be armed in any of the ports
of the kin-dom in behalf of cither of the belligerents 5 and
that no Freach subject must take any share in such equip-
ments.
There isa piece of intelligence in the German Pa-
pers which deserves considerable attention. It is
said that Austria is to cede the Netherlonds to the
Prince of Orange, and to receive alirge sum from
England for them. This smu isto be paid by instal-
menis in ten years. and we are to be indenmified by:
the Dutch Colonies. Surely there must be some mis--
take in this. The Dutch Colonies we oucht to keep.

the erection of Holliuid into so powerful a state as she
would become by the accession of the Netherlands,
would be a measure which we ought to view with

tants made any resistance they would destroy the
